Wedding Dance
For the Love of Pete

Dancing under a cobalt sky
where polka dots make a milky way,
the points are now all connecting:
spiraling birds kayak the night sky
a sign, if you will, of love and possibility.

You can open your arms now
and prepare for the gathering winds
of change as you settle down and rearrange.
Make sunshine, make hay
each make your own way and together
as one, be stronger, have fun
laugh, love… come undone!

At the end of the day
together keep the bears at bay.
